Job description

About Trustero

Trustero is the AI-driven advisor for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). Powered by a patented multi-agent AI architecture and our proprietary Trust Graph, Trustero automates evidence collection, control monitoring, gap analysis, and security questionnaire response — helping security, compliance, and risk teams get and stay audit-ready across frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST, PCI DSS, SOX, and more. Enterprise, mid-market, and MSSPs use Trustero to turn GRC from a manual, reactive burden into a continuous, AI-powered program. Learn more at trustero.com.

The Role

Trustero is hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) to fuel our top-of-funnel pipeline growth across the US and EU territories. This is a pure hunter role — you will be responsible for sourcing, mapping, and opening doors at target enterprise and mid-market accounts. You’ll engage security, compliance, risk, and IT leaders (CISOs, Heads of GRC, VPs of Security) who are actively seeking ways to modernize and scale their GRC programs through AI.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for an ambitious pipeline builder who thrives on multi-channel cold outreach, strategic account mapping, and qualifying high-value sales opportunities in a fast-moving market.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect and generate qualified sales meetings/opportunities through outbound multi-channel outreach (cold email, cold calling, LinkedIn, and video touchpoints).

  • Own the initial stages of the sales funnel, mapping target accounts and identifying key decision-makers across security, compliance, risk, and IT departments.

  • Conduct initial discovery conversations to evaluate fit, pain points, and buyer readiness, effectively qualifying leads before handing them off to Account Executives.

  • Build a solid baseline understanding of buyers' compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, NIST, PCI DSS, SOX, GDPR) to articulate how Trustero’s multi-agent AI delivers ROI and continuous audit readiness.

  • Partner closely with Enterprise Account Executives to execute strategic account-based marketing (ABM) strategies and targeted territory campaigns.

  • Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene, tracking touchpoints, account intelligence, and opportunity handoffs in Salesforce/HubSpot.

  • Represent Trustero at virtual events and industry webinars, following up rapidly on leads to convert interest into qualified meetings.

  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly/quarterly targets for qualified meetings set and opportunities generated.

Job requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Proven hunter mentality: a track record of high-volume, quality outbound prospecting and self-sourcing meetings in B2B tech/SaaS.

  • 1–3 years of outbound business development or sales development experience (SDR/BDR), ideally within cybersecurity, GRC/compliance, or enterprise software.

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex enterprise org charts and comfortably initiate conversations with executive buyers (CISO, CCO, VP/Head of GRC).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to deliver concise, compelling value propositions.

  • Familiarity with modern sales engagement platforms (e.g., Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo) and CRM platforms.

  • Relentless curiosity, high emotional intelligence, and resilience in handling objections and building dynamic cold touchpoints.

  • Fluency in English required; additional European languages (e.g., German, French) are a major plus for EU territory coverage.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience prospecting for AI-native, cybersecurity, or SaaS compliance platforms.

  • Basic understanding of GRC frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.) or security workflows.

  • Experience running account-based outbound motions against Fortune 2000 or mid-market accounts.
